About us
From riding solo to riding together.
RidePals started from something every cyclist recognises: there are people riding near you almost every day, and you still end up going out alone. The information is scattered across WhatsApp chains, closed groups, and posts that disappear. We close that gap — between you and a community that is already out there.
Why we exist
Finding a ride shouldn't depend on knowing the right person. RidePals puts group rides on an open map, with what actually matters when you're deciding: the pace, the terrain, and who you'll be riding with.
Built in Costa Rica, made to travel
We started here, with the Costa Rican cycling community, because it's the one we know and the one that drives us. But RidePals was built with no ties to a single country: as it grows, the goal is for any cyclist, anywhere, to find their grupeta.
What you can do
- Discover rides on a map, filtered by Road, MTB, or Gravel.
- Choose by pace and level — Easy to Race, Beginner to Advanced.
- Join with one tap and coordinate without endless chains.
- Ride with confidence: verified accounts and safety tooling.
- Create and host your own rides, or your club's.
You pick the pace
Ride with people at a similar level. Filter with tags like Easy, Tempo, or Race and know up front whether it's a ride for chatting or for suffering.
And who you ride with
Choose the group's make-up and level: Mixed, Women only or Men only, Beginner through Advanced.
The vibe factor
It's not just the route. It's who you ride it with.
Almost any app lets you filter by distance and elevation. None of them tell you whether the group rides at your pace. RidePals filters by fit — pace, level, and make-up — because that's what decides whether a ride was a good one or whether you got dropped after ten kilometres.
